How it works

How do you rebuild your menu?

  1. List what your team uses

    Note which pages your front desk and director actually open, and which they never need.

  2. Rename and group

    In the editor, give items the words your center uses, sorted into groups such as Families, Enrollment and Admin.

  3. Choose a layout

    Left or right sidebar, or a top bar in one of 8 styles, with list or mega sub-menus. Preview it before you save.

  4. Save for every view

    Agency and center (sub-account) views each get their own menu, live on the next page load.

Can I rename GoHighLevel menu items?
Yes. Every menu item can be renamed and given its own icon, so Contacts can read Families and Calendars can read Tours. The pages behind them do not change.
Can I hide menu items my staff do not need?
Yes. Hiding removes an item from the menu so the team sees a short, focused list. To restrict access properly, combine it with GoHighLevel’s own user permissions.
Can GoHighLevel use a top navigation bar instead of a sidebar?
Yes. The menu can be a left sidebar, a right sidebar or a top bar. The top bar comes in 8 styles, and a merged header saves a whole row of screen space.
What are mega menus?
Mega menus show all of a section’s sub-pages at once in a panel, instead of hidden tabs. There are 8 styles, such as Columns, Split, Cascade, Tiles.
Can the agency view and the center views have different menus?
Yes. The agency view and the sub-account view each have their own item list and settings.
Will the menu break when GoHighLevel adds new features?
New items GoHighLevel adds are appended automatically unless you choose otherwise, and clicks pass through to GoHighLevel’s own links, so navigation keeps working.
Can I add links to our own tools?
Yes. You can add links to your handbook, parent app, staff scheduling tool or anything else, opening inside the app or in a new tab.
